• Head of design for Apple’s premier white-label platform and rewards storefront responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in global sales across many popular loyalty programs.
• Continuously analyzing client needs and customer problems, I create solutions that take advantage of opportunities where these factors often merge.
• Support planning and facilitation of design initiatives to provide consistent customer experiences across numerous reward programs supporting various currencies and payment methods ranging from cash to points, miles, payroll deduction and traditional financing.
• Manage brand alignment with Apple’s brand guidelines – quickly providing design and development guidance to keep Apple’s familiar experience in place within host programs.
• Analyze product feeds and develop data management tools used to make the most of Apple’s product catalog and identify solutions to issues ranging from product categorization to data supplementation.
• Designed platform capabilities that the stage to be one of Apple’s test beds for innovative endeavors including: Wellness programs centered on Apple Watch, Buy now-pay later programs, Banking acquisition programs, Employee purchase programs and more.

Keystone Rewards Storefront

• Facilitate teams to define new features, enhancements, and feature sets for phased product releases in Keystone – a white-label e-commerce rewards solution powering thousands of loyalty programs across many financial institutions, fintech companies, regional banks, and credit unions.
• Collaborate across the organization with designers, product managers, project managers, engineers, executive leadership and other key stakeholders to oversee consistent customer experience design across the redemption platforms.
• Create design systems for theme capabilities to support UI alignment with client brand styles, instilling customer confidence throughout the redemption experience.
• Consult with stakeholders, partners and clients, often presenting solutions that may not seem obvious while helping them anticipate organizational impact in business terms.
• Design UIs to provide a consistent customer experience against a disparate set of redemption options from many sources for each individual storefront.
• Used eCommerce studies from Nielsen Norman Group to drive, validate and justify design decisions.

Highlights

• As one of the founding employees of the company, I have been instrumental in the product development process that has led to the company’s growth from initial funding to a series D evaluation of over 300 million dollars and a team of 250 employees.
• Named co-inventor on a 2013 patent application for technology designed to identify customer segments by matching financial transactions to line-item purchase information supplied from numerous data sources.
• Lead designer of the proprietary enterprise system used to manage all aspects of ad campaigns across a distributed network of targeting systems installed within many of the nation’s largest financial institutions.
• Lead designer responsible for the interaction experience behind the user interface components used across all financial institutions in the network.
• Worked closely with the company’s creative director and executive team to design the Regions Cashback Rewards user experience, which continues to drive very high consumer engagement at Regions Bank.

• Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, I am responsible for the UX of the employee self-service proof of concept application and corporate web site.
• Using Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 and Expression Blend, I applied an interactive layout design to the proof of concept application using Blacklight components and other Silverlight components from Telerik and ComponentOne.
• As an early designer of Workbits prototypes, I have been instrumental in the company’s founding and continued success.

• Lead user interface designer of NSE eSENSE products including eSENSE Visualizers and eSENSE Configurator.
• Involved in all design and development aspects of eSENSE Visualizers from concept to delivery.

• In a position to upgrade their existing product offerings, our client requested architecture, design and development assistance.
• A .Net based C# Windows Forms application was created to be the replacement for their existing offerings.
• Worked closely with the project sponsors to evaluate existing designs and suggest improvements.
• Assisted developers with many user interface modules used to manage information within the application.

Loan Advisor

• Re-design of ASP.Net v1.1 solution consisting of multiple web and windows GUI’s
• Worked closely with business and system analysts to understand and gather requirements.
• Produces PDF listing sheets containing property details and loan options for potential customers
• Designed a new look with easier user navigation for the loan officer web interface
• Produced wireframes, process flow diagrams and mock-ups to illustrate the application’s experience.

February 1997

• Accepted a position to process pending Associate Membership Agreements.
• Prior to my arrival, all requests for information were handled via telephone and facsimile.
• I implemented an e-mail solution in my first few weeks, which cut processing time from 8 hours a day to less than an hour.

May 1997

• Promoted to the Operations Workflow Development Team.
• Assisted in the planning of the Document Management Workflow system to reduce spending by eliminating the current filing system and automating all of the company’s repetitive processing to create a paperless enterprise.
• Began acquiring application and web design skills in a hands-on environment.
• Created additions to workflow administration applications with Visual Basic 5.
• Started working with HTML and JavaScript in Visual Interdev on layouts, styling, field validations and DHTML effects.
